SECTION 21 - ONLINE ORDER PICKUP POLICY

For security and fraud prevention purposes, all online orders selected for in-store pickup require a valid government-issued photo ID at the time of pickup.

The name on the ID must match the name on the order. The individual picking up the order must be the same person listed on the order unless prior approval has been given by Southern Maryland Outdoor Power Equipment.

We reserve the right to refuse release of any order if proper identification is not provided or if the information does not match the order details.

 

SECTION 22 - CHARGEBACK & PAYMENT DISPUTE POLICY

By completing a purchase with Southern Maryland Outdoor Power Equipment, you agree that all transactions are authorized by the cardholder and that you will not initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us to resolve the issue.

In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute:

  • You agree to provide written notice and allow us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter before initiating a dispute with your bank or payment provider.
  • You acknowledge that we maintain records of transactions, including order details, communication, IP address, and pickup or delivery confirmation, which may be used to dispute any chargeback claim.
  • If a chargeback is filed and found to be invalid or fraudulent, you agree to be responsible for the full amount of the transaction, plus any applicable fees, administrative costs, collection costs, and legal expenses incurred.

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse future orders from customers who initiate chargebacks
  • Require additional verification for future purchases
  • Pursue collection or legal action for unpaid balances

SECTION 23 - DELIVERY & TRANSFER OF LIABILITY

All delivery dates and times are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Once an order has been delivered to the address provided at checkout:

  • The risk of loss, theft, or damage transfers to the customer upon delivery.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the delivery location is secure and accessible.

For equipment deliveries:

  • The customer (or authorized recipient) must be present to accept delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Any damage, shortage, or issue must be noted at the time of delivery and reported within 24 hours.

We are not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by weather, traffic, third-party carriers, or circumstances beyond our control
  • Theft, damage, or loss occurring after delivery has been completed
  • Improper use, storage, or handling of equipment after delivery

If delivery is refused or inaccessible:

  • Additional delivery fees may apply
  • Orders may be subject to restocking fees
